So...

Dreamwidth, huh? It feels like quite a lot has happened since the last time I maintained an online journal account... I think I last posted on my LJ back in 2014...

I have quite a lot to figure out, and a lot more to remember about how to customize this and, now that I see the option, how to cross-post to my old LJ.

I really hope it's not the end of LJ, I have quite a lot of fond memories there- from my Tenimyu, D-Boys, J-Drama, K-Drama, and specially Arashi fan moments and friends.

But, that aside, I'm usually not one to believe in New Year's resolutions, but since these are more like Goals and I'm determined to see them through, here we go:

- Learn how to play the Piano (short term objective: attend lessons and practice everyday, mid term objective: play Niji and Howl's Moving Castle in piano, long term objective: go out more, learn instrument you've wanted to learn since you were a kid)

- Bake more cakes for side business... (overall objectives: more income, pay off credit card debt, save money for trip to Scotland)

- Stick to budgets and use purchase app (overall objectives: pay all adult responsibilities)

- Learn how to cook... seriously, you can't keep depending on mom calling to say she cooked something, you'll develop gastrointestinal issues. It can't be that hard, baking is easy. (overall objectives: spend less money on take out and buying food everyday, eat more healthy)

- Get cats to get along (overall objectives: open all doors in the house- not needing to confine them to separate rooms)

- Set dehumidifiers every day before leaving the house. Allergies are the worst.

Hmmm.... hopefully having written them down will help in the long run. Either way these are my very realistic objectives for this year.
Since I already went ahead and called myself a cat lady, might as well own up to it.

I have five cats- four of them live with me in my 98 square meter apartment, the other one is with my mom for the moment.

All of them are rescues and all of them are sterilized female cats.

My youngest was not quite intended- a friend called me over to "show" her to me and ended up pressuring me to take her in- she was quite friendly and roamed in a construction zone: there was no alternative.

It was supposed to be temporary, but it is hard to get cats adopted lately. Her cuteness overpowered me anyway and she was christened "Muffin" by my best friend... which completely ruins my naming trend, but is still better than what my other friend had been calling her... "Meow".

I have not had cause for regret, and I still love her... but getting home after a horrible bout of allergies, remembering there's work tomorrow and I have no lunch prepared, only to get to her room, start scooping the litter box and realize she's been peeing outside it.

Ugh.

Cue instant runny nose and loud sneezes.

None of my other cats ever did this, so I just had to google how to clean that up and get rid of the smell before it kills my nose and offends my other cats.

Just lovely.

Well... chapter one of Cat Lady adventures has come to an end... or almost- I'm just waiting for the floor to dry before I relocate all cats involved.

Hopefully this does not become a trend.
